Some of those barriers require legislation. In Ohio, for example, laws needed to be clarified to protect parents’ rights to choose released time. In 2024, we successfully advocated for those protections. Lawmakers listened, and the law was amended.
Other times, the barriers require legal clarification. Currently, in the state of Washington, a school district is challenging the boundaries of religious freedom for families wishing to participate. When situations like this arise, we stand with families and bring in the right experts to ensure those rights are upheld.
These efforts require more than legal expertise. Travel, communications, research, media, and other resources are involved as we respond quickly and effectively to emerging needs.
That’s why we created the Religious Freedom Fund.
We invite you to support this fund. Together, we can protect parental rights and help bring Bible education to even more students across the country.
