For the 2024-25 school year, Jonathan Alder students in 1st-6th grades will have the opportunity to participate in LifeWise Academy. LifeWise Academy is a free and optional Released Time Religious Instruction (RTRI) program allowing students to attend off-site, non-denominational, Bible-based classes with an emphasis on Character Education. RTRI classes adhere to both federal and state laws, and have been successfully operating in districts across the country.
When: LifeWise classes will start the week of September 3rd, 2024.
Where: LifeWise students are transported to LifeWise classrooms set up in neighboring churches, and then back to school.
Who: LifeWise JA is staffed with experienced, qualified teachers. Volunteers will chaperone students to and from the school building and assist teachers during class. All LifeWise team members undergo a thorough background screening and safety training. Check out our FAQ page for more information!
