Who should attend?

LifeWise teachers! Long-term substitute teachers who have a LifeWise email are also welcome to attend.

Should substitute teachers attend?

Substitute teachers with a LifeWise email address (long-term substitute teachers) may attend but are not required.

What topics will be covered?

Part 1 (prerequisite online course videos)

Part 2 (In-Person or Virtual Assessment)
Curriculum Details, Classroom Management, Live Assessment

Will program directors be required to teach a lesson?

No, program directors are not required to prepare and present a lesson but are welcome to join and observe teachers presenting their lesson.

When does it begin and end?

Part 1 can be completed at your own pace prior to the live assessment.

Part 2 will be from 9:00 a.m.12: 15 p.m. ET or 1:154:30 p.m. ET

What should I bring?

Please bring your completed lesson plan guide and any materials you need to teach your prepared lesson. A laptop, tablet or other device is also helpful.

What should I wear?

Attire is casual. Bonus points for wearing LifeWise apparel!

Will there be coffee?

Yes! Light refreshments, including coffee, will be provided in the morning and will remain available throughout the day.

Will lunch be provided?

No. Lunch will not be provided at certification.

Where is it?

The in-person assessments are in Hilliard, OH, while the virtual assessments are conducted on a Zoom call. Details will be emailed to your LifeWise email account.
